Al Baha is 1005 km southwest of Riyadh and 265 km southeast of Makkah. Dhee Ayn is a big village located in the Tihamah Zahran. It is a 400 years old stone settlement that was built on top of a marble hill is 24 km south of Al Baha along Al Aqabah road. It is distinguished for its numerous white stone. It is also known as marble village. This village is famous for its high-quality craft products. This landscape is surrounded by palm groves, banana, vegetable and herbal plantations, a permanent stream, and natural wilderness. Constructed by shale slabs, slates and rarely of marble pieces, this huge construction is a marvelous art of creation. Dhee Ayn or, as it is also known, Aqabat al-Baha, is visible for several kilometers as one approaches the village. There are a small park and car parking area beside the village. The off-white marble hill and grayish black stone structures provide a high contrasting image during the early morning (with rising sun) and evening (by the setting sun). Even the road that leads to the village is impressive, and several historical stone and slate towers dot the way. Al-Bahah Province is known as the region of 1001 towers, once built to protect villages, roads, and plantations from other tribes. The marble village is a true symbol of creativity.
