The historical German building which is located 8 km far away from the main Farasan island. It was built by the Germans in 1901 as a storage for coal which used for vessels transiting to the Red Sea between the Suez Canal in the north-west of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab in the south-east. It is a rectangular shape made of coral rocks wall and It is open from the inside. It is surrounded by crystal-clear water and beautiful coral reefs, it is also surrounded by fisherman houses. The mangroves, beaches and underwater world are the true stunners of Farasan Island’s beauty. Nearest Airport: Jizan Regional Airport. يقع المبنى الألماني التاريخي (أو بيت الجرمل تحريفًا للجيرمان) على بعد 8 كم من جزيرة فرسان الرئيسية، يتميز المبنى بشكله المستطيل المصنوع من الصخور المرجانية، كما أن المبنى مفتوح من الداخل، بناه الألمان عام 1901م كمستودع تخزين للفحم الحجري المستخدم للبواخر العابرة إلى البحر الأحمر بين قناة السويس في الشمال الغربي للبحر الأحمر وباب المندب في الجنوب الشرقي. وتبرز بقاياه اليوم في جزيرة قماح، محاطًا بالمياه الصافية والشعاب المرجانية، وبيوت الصيادين.
